This Cancellation Policy governs reservations made through Laoaccommodation.com (“we”, “us” or “our”). By making a reservation through our website, the customer (“Guest” or “you”) acknowledges and agrees to the cancellation conditions outlined below.
Cancellation conditions are established by individual accommodation providers (“Properties”) and may vary depending on the Property, room type, booking rate, season and length of stay.
The applicable cancellation conditions will be clearly displayed during the booking process and included in the booking confirmation. By completing a reservation, the Guest accepts the specific cancellation terms associated with that booking.
Where a reservation includes a free cancellation option, the Guest may cancel without incurring a cancellation penalty, provided the cancellation is submitted before the deadline specified in the booking confirmation.
All cancellation deadlines are calculated according to the local time of the Property unless otherwise specified.
Certain accommodation rates may be designated as non-refundable or non-cancellable.
Such reservations cannot ordinarily be cancelled or amended without the Guest being subject to the full cancellation charges specified in the booking conditions.
By selecting such a rate, the Guest acknowledges and accepts these restrictions at the time of booking.
Where a cancellation request is submitted after the applicable free cancellation deadline, the Property reserves the right to impose a cancellation penalty in accordance with its stated booking conditions.
The applicable penalty may be calculated as a percentage of the total reservation value, a fixed amount or the full cost of the booking, depending on the terms accepted at the time of reservation.
A Guest who fails to arrive at the Property on the scheduled check-in date without providing prior notice or cancelling the reservation shall be classified as a “No-Show”.
In such circumstances, the Property may apply the cancellation charges specified in the original booking conditions and may cancel any remaining nights of the reservation.
Requests to amend a confirmed reservation, including changes to arrival or departure dates, room type, number of guests or duration of stay, are subject to the Property’s availability and approval.
Any approved amendment may be subject to revised pricing, additional charges or different cancellation conditions.
Laoaccommodation.com does not guarantee the acceptance of amendment requests.
In circumstances where a Property is unable to honour a confirmed reservation, the Property must notify Laoaccommodation.com and the affected Guest as soon as reasonably practicable.
Laoaccommodation.com will use reasonable efforts to assist the Guest in identifying suitable alternative accommodation where possible.
In circumstances beyond the reasonable control of the Guest or Property, including natural disasters, severe weather events, government restrictions, public emergencies or other force majeure events, cancellation arrangements will be considered in accordance with the applicable booking conditions and relevant laws.
All cancellation requests should be submitted through the designated cancellation facility on Laoaccommodation.com or through another authorised communication channel specified in the booking confirmation.
A cancellation shall be considered effective once it has been successfully recorded and a cancellation confirmation has been issued.
Guests are responsible for retaining their booking reference and cancellation confirmation for their records.
Laoaccommodation.com acts as an online accommodation booking platform connecting Guests with independent accommodation providers.
The Guest is responsible for reviewing and accepting the applicable cancellation conditions before confirming a reservation.
Laoaccommodation.com shall not be responsible for cancellation penalties imposed by a Property in accordance with the conditions accepted by the Guest, except where otherwise required by applicable law.
Laoaccommodation.com reserves the right to amend or update this Cancellation Policy from time to time. Any changes will be published on our website and will take effect from the date of publication or the effective date specified.
Changes to this Policy will not retrospectively alter the cancellation conditions of existing confirmed reservations.
